Luke is 8VC's Head of Design and Creative Director. He handles all things pertaining to 8VC's brand, website, messaging, and materials, though he spends the majority of his time partnering with 8VC portfolio companies to ensure a high bar of excellence for product design and brand.
Luke also oversees the design for 8VC's Build and Fellowship programs, where he works with founders in the earliest days of their companies' inception, designing and building their first products and brands, and bringing them to market. As part of this program, Luke was the first designer at Epirus, Resilience, Esper, Luminary, Saronic, Fig-1, TAP, Standard Metrics, and many other 8VC portfolio companies.
Prior to joining 8VC, Luke was a designer for Camino. Before that, Luke spent 2 years as a designer for OpenGov.
Luke is also an accomplished artist. His work has been featured by Lululemon Athletica, Adobe's Inspire Magazine, and Grafik Design Academy's yearly magazine, and his illustrations have appeared in the New York Times, WIRED, Business Insider, the Wall Street Journal, and other publications.
Luke holds a B.S. in Business Marketing from The Master's University.
What’s a Rich Text element?
The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
Static and dynamic content editing
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
How to customize formatting for each rich text
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
