As Humanities Scholar in Residence, Gabe is responsible for the written word at 8VC, including announcements and publications, investor relations communications, and supporting portfolio and Build companies.
Prior to joining 8VC, Gabe spent thirteen years at Palantir, initially as a member of the Defense team, followed by a variety of special projects, talent, corporate development, and government relations roles. He also had an infamous stint as the voice of Palantir’s early demo videos.
Outside of work, Gabe is an avid open water swimmer, training year-round in the San Francisco Bay, and enjoys composing sonnets and officiating wedding ceremonies.
Gabe holds a B.A. and M.A. from Stanford University.
What’s a Rich Text element?
The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
Static and dynamic content editing
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
How to customize formatting for each rich text
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

We cofounded Affinity after seeing firsthand how legacy CRM falls short of real relationship intelligence, and today their platform is used by 3300 + investment firms. We noticed a similar gap in portfolio management and performance tracking, where manual work and nonexistent data were the norm. Driven by our own frustrations, we co-founded, seeded, and led the series A for Standard Metrics, which has grown to over 100 top investment firms and 7000+ companies while revolutionizing the efficiency and quality of data collection, portfolio analytics, and reporting. Now, building on the data foundation they created, they have launched Global Benchmarking, adding deep utility and macro awareness to match their micro abilities.
