Shreya Iyer is a Stamps President's Scholar at Georgia Tech, where she studies Electrical Engineering with minors in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning and Philosophy. As an 8VC Engineering Fellow, she is interning at Epirus, developing real-time edge sensing and perception capabilities for high-power microwave counter UAS systems. Shreya is fascinated by the challenge of transforming cutting-edge research into enduring technology companies. Through experiences spanning national laboratories, research institutions, startups, industry, and venture capital, she has gained exposure to the many stages of that journey, including at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, Georgia Tech Research Institute, Boeing, Aurora Flight Sciences, MassRobotics, and Contrary Research. Across her work, Shreya is drawn to engineering problems defined by uncertainty and enjoys building intelligent systems that remain robust and resilient in critical, complex environments. When she is not deep-diving into a new technical area, she enjoys hiking, practicing Vipassana meditation, and, whenever she gets the chance, attending live classical music concerts.
