Mingchung Xia is a Computer Science student at the University of Waterloo. He began his career in machine learning and scientific research before transitioning into software engineering. He is focused on the intersection of finance and technology, with successful industry internships at AWS, Cube Exchange, and Vercel. Mingchung also co-founded Eclipse, becoming one of Canada's top personal finance apps for credit cards. As an 8VC Engineering Fellow, Mingchung interned on Vercel's financial infrastructure team, owning core services for entitlements, payments, and platform usage across millions of accounts with enterprise partnerships. Mingchung will rejoin Vercel as a software engineer in Fall 2026.
